Re-Tire is created by randomly mixing post-consumer SBR tire waste and EPDM rubber granules. Post-consumer and pre-consumer recycled content varies per color. Re-Tire is a FloorScore® certified product and contributes to LEED credits. Re-Tire collections includes Medley (with cork content)*, Kaleidoscope, Basics and Shades of Black. * Unique to Capri cork, Medley ‘mixes it up’ by adding pre-consumer CORK waste to recycled rubber. The cork adds interesting textural variations and gives recycled rubber a whole new look.
Re-Tire thicknesses are 4, 6, 8, 9 mm and 3.2 & 12 mm by request. 9 mm thickness is required for areas where free weights are used and/or spikes are worn. ReTire rolls are 4′ wide and tiles of Medley, Kaleidoscope and Basics are 24″ x 24″. Shades of Black tiles are 36″ x 36″ and 9 mm Interlocking tiles are 36″ x 36″ (8.2 sf/tile). All colors in Medley, Kaleidoscope and Basics require finish coats with finish coats on Shades of Black optional. Refer to document RT406PC in the document library for finish options and recommendations. Document RT404 lists recycled content by color. With recycled content, shade variations of Re-Tire colors within tiles and from lot to lot are possible and skive/knife marks from the manufacturing process are inherent.
